I thought Kerry’s speach last night was great, and I didn’t plan to like it. I was pleased to see him (and Edwards the night before) appealing to the base, who has been so ignored by the Democratic party.
The daughters made me want to puke, though. I think it was pretty excessive for them to trot out some of their most personal memories of their father on national TV. Save it for a funeral!
And how about Mara Liasson (sp?) on NPR this morning calling Kerry’s speech light on details. I guess she skipped Edwards speech where he layed all that shit out so Kerry didn’t have to. More sloppy reporting. And the “journalists” wonder why they are increasingly considered irrelevant…
