And both by Democrats, imagine my surprise! Former (and future?) Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney expresses some right-on-time righteous indignation in her speech “Democracy Is Under Attack –
Let’s Take it Back” at the historic Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. And former Veep Al Gore sounds a lot like Howard Dean in his speech to MoveOn.org supporters at NYU. He logically demonstrates that the Bush administration has intentionally misled the American people about Iraq, the economy, and more. Unfortunately, Gore stops short of calling Bush a liar, but instead suggests that he just doesn’t understand the truth. Let’s hope that this speech has as much impact as last year’s did in reminding Democrats whose side they’re on.
