As the DRM astutely pointed out this morning, the timing of Resident Bush’s fundraising visit to central North Carolina has everything to do with John Edwards’ selection as VP candidate. Remember how Bush showed up in every state a day or two after each Democratic presidential primary? Don’t forget, all that travel is on your dime, Ms. Taxpayer. Yes, Karl Rove thinks you’re pretty dumb.
Anyway, I’m pleased to report that I felt much less revulsion than expected upon Edwards’ selection. In fact, I think it’s probably a good idea. And I’m excited to now be living in a swing state for a change. Bring on the TV ads and trash talking!
